Billy Gene Crawford

Video Tribute Billy Gene Crawford, age 68, formerly of Grenada, MS, passed away Tuesday evening, June 20, 2017, at his home in Pope, MS. Funeral services for Billy will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 at Willow Springs Assembly of God Church in Enid. Rev. Tommy Darby and Rev. Billy Davidson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00.  Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada at 1:00 p.m. following the service on Friday.  Wells Funeral Home of Batesville has charge of arrangements. Billy was born January 18, 1949 to the late William Edgar Crawford and Laverne Smith Crawford in Grenada, MS. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Willow Springs Assembly of God. Billy worked for 40 plus years as a well know barber and owner of Hairmasters of Grenada, MS. He enjoyed anything outdoors, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He loved animals and always enjoyed visiting with people. Those he leaves behind include his wife, Towanda "Sissy" Willard Crawford of Pope; children, Christopher Crawford of Grenada, Eley Anderson, Jr. (Amanda) of Grenada, Jessica Alexander of Batesville, Robert "Scooter" Anderson (Kristina) of Batesville; brother, Bobby Dean Crawford (Billie Jo) of Grenada, 16 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. In addition to her parents, Billy is preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Kay Crawford Moore.
