Katherine Franks

Betty Katherine Morgan Fogarty Franks, age 68, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 24, 2019.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

Katherine was born May 24, 1950 in Memphis, TN to the late Thurmond “Bo” Morgan and Florine Bateman Chunn. She was a homemaker that took great pride in caring for her family and friends. Katherine also enjoyed having fun, whether it was listening to music or dancing.

Katherine’s legacy will live on thru her two daughters, Lisa Lunamand and her husband, David, of Olive Branch, MS, Taren Denton and her husband, Jason, of Canton, MS; two sons, Larry Joe Fogarty, Jr. of Batesville, MS, Larry Clayton Franks of Batesville, MS; two sisters, Cassandra Sullivan of Southaven, MS, Sharon Hartwell of Bartlett, TN; two brothers, Charles Morgan of Red Banks, MS, Randy Morgan of Batesville, MS; seven grandchildren, Larry Joe Fogarty, III, Joshua Fogarty, Kayla Gatlin, Samantha Lunamand, Ian Denton, Caleb Franks, Aden Franks; two great-grandchildren, Leo Paxton Fogarty and Baby Gatlin.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Franks; four brothers, Danny Lee Morgan, Bill Hurdle, Dewayne Chunn, Nicky Morgan, and also her best friend, Deborah Jordan.
