Bette Alice Hunter Moore, age 75, passed away Tuesday morning, November 21, 2023 at the North MS Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. 

Bette was born on December 14, 1947 in Memphis, TN to the late Bea Theo Hunter and Frances Alene Kiihnl Melton. She was an avid reader and loved to spend time with her family, especially around Christmas time. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved to make everyone feel special. Bette also had a special love for all of her grandchildren and would do anything for them. 

The family left behind to cherish her precious memory includes her children, Dennis Moore of Batesville, MS, Janice Moore of Batesville, MS, and Melissa Cooper (James) of Manassas, VA; two siblings, Larry Melton of Ashland, MS, and Sheila Hunter; grandchildren, Hunter Hendershot, Steven Moore, Joshua Hughes, Branden Potts, Kaitlyn Hughes, Amber Potts, and Noah Cooper; and great grandchildren, Hayley Brett, Dawson, Gracelyn, Logan, Nelson, and Ella. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earlie Gene Moore; two children, Larry Lee "Bubba" Campbell and Lisa Moore; and one brother, Bobby Hunter.
