Benny E. Walters

Benny E. Walters, age 78, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2019 at the Tallahatchie Nursing Home in Charleston, MS. 

There will be a Memorial Service held for Mr. Walters on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with the family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 prior to the service.

Benny was born in Mississippi on April 15, 1941 to the late Milton Walters and Lenora Cooper Walters. During his lifetime he worked as a truck driver and was the owner of a radiator shop. In his spare time, Benny enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Shriners Club and was a Mason.

The loving family he leaves behind include his wife, Willie Mae Walters of Oakland; children, Joseph Walters Phillips of Memphis, TN., Aaron Jerry Walters of Cody, WY., Amy Walters Hebbler (Edward) also of Cody, WY.; step-children, Terry Wayne Moore of Hernando, Chris Moore of Oakland; grandchildren, Jessica Walters, McKenzie Walters Robison, Courtney Hebbler Scheiber (Laura), Henry Hebbler Guetille (Jason), Landon Hebbler, Addison West (Devin), and Zayne Hebbler; step-grandchildren, John Terry Moore, Emily Cradock, Deeanna Moore Pryor, Christon Perez; great grandchildren, Eli Hebbler, Rose West, Sophie Scheiber, and Gabriel Scheiber; step-great grandchild, Maddie Ross Cradock.

In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by 6 sisters, 1 brother, and his wife of 48 years, Darlene Marie Peng Walters.
