Beanice Kilgore

Beanice Hubbard Kilgore, age 105, passed away peacefully Friday, May 1, 2020 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Batesville, MS. She was the widow of Mr. Wiley Frank Kilgore.

A family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Center Hill Cemetery near Courtland, MS.

Beanice was born on August 8, 1914 to the late Zachary Taylor Hubbard and Zipporah Jane Haire Hubbard in Calhoun County, MS. She worked as a seamstress during her lifetime and was a faithful member of the Pope Baptist Church. When Beanice was not working, she enjoyed playing cards, sewing, working in her flower garden, and riding out to the lake. She was also a loyal member of the Eastern Star. She cherished the times when her family would get together for Sunday lunch in which she always prepared.  

The family she leaves behind to cherish her legacy include her children, Betty Shearer and the late Ed of Water Valley, MS, Jimmie Cole and husband Bill of Pope, MS, Hugh "Bo" Kilgore and wife Carolyn of Courtland, MS, Rance T. Kilgore and wife Ginny of Oxford, MS, and Don F. Kilgore and wife Gina of Batesville, MS; seven grandchildren, Anita Vanderford, Lisa McCartney, James "Jim" Shearer, Misty Marie Wright, William Cole, Michael Cole, and Madison Drake; and twelve Great Grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents, Beanice was preceded in death by her son, Terry Wayne Kilgore.
