Barbara Allred Potts

Barbara Nell Allred Potts, age 84, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Panola Medical Center in Batesville, MS.

Funeral services for Mrs. Potts will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw. 

Barbara was born September 20, 1934 to the late Travis William Allred and Vadis Blount Allred in Sledge. During her lifetime, Barbara worked for Springs Industries from which she eventually retired. Barbara was a member of Victory Baptist Church. The most important aspect of Barbara's life was her family. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

The loving family she leaves behind include her daughters, Cynthia Hale of Memphis, TN., and Kay Moss (Willie) of Batesville;  2 sons, Harvey Hale (Darlene) of Cullman, AL., and Thomas Travis Hale of Batesville; 4 sisters, Peggy Allred Barber of Senatobia, Patsy Allred Turner of Leland, Judy Allred Parker of Leland, and Denise Allred Glover of Red Bay, AL.; 2 brothers, Caris Allred of Tupelo, and Troy Allred of Sardis; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. 

in addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey Hale and JD Potts, and 2 brothers, Ronnie and Mickey Allred.
