Annie Maude Cosby

Annie Maude Cosby, age 84, passed away Monday morning, January 13, 2020, at her home in Courtland, MS. She was the widow of the late Robert L. "Bob" Cosby, Sr.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening, January 14, 2020, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include, Robby Cosby, Justin Drewery, Matthew Cosby, Doug Thornton, Justin Davis, Rusty Davis, Brandon Cosby and Will Poole; honorary pallbearers will be Jake Cosby, Max Cosby and Benton Simmons.

Annie was born August 14, 1935 in Yalobusha County, MS to the late Aaron and Carrie Nelson Heafner. She was a homemaker and member of the Eureka United Methodist Church. When she was wasn't raising her family, Annie enjoyed crocheting and working word search puzzles.

Annie will be most remember by her loving family, which includes her daughter, Carrie Ann Cosby Davis of Batesville, MS; three sons, Robert L. Cosby, Jr. (Sheila) of Courtland, MS, Michael Lynn Cosby (Ann) of Courtland, MS, Kevin Lee Cosby (Pam) of Courtland, MS; eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Along with her husband and parents, Annie was preceded in death by one great-great-grandchild and her brother, Harry Lee Heafner, Sr.
