Albert Sidney Gordon

Albert Sidney Gordon, age 87, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 7, 2018, at his home in Pope, MS.
There will be a memorial service for Albert on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS.
Albert was born on April 15, 1931 to the late Aline Hood and M.L. Gordon in Eudora, MS. During Albert's lifetime he worked as an aircraft mechanic and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He had a love for airplanes and had a small one he flew himself. He was a member of Courtland Baptist Church.
Those he leaves behind to cherish his loving memory include his wife of 68 years, Mildred Gordon of Pope, MS; his children, Kerry Maloney (Mark), and Reginald Gordon both of Texas; two sisters, Faye Gordon Daniels of Hernando, MS, and Peggy Gordon Cline of Southaven, MS; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Along with Albert's parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Marguerite Gordon Oswalt, W.E. Gordon, Allen Gordon, and Ralph Gordon. He is also preceded in death by his infant child.
