Agnes Greenwood

December 21, 1941 — April 25, 2024

Livestream of Funeral Service

Agnes Ruth Greenwood , 82,  ran to the arms of Jesus on April 25, 2024 after ending her battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her family at her home in Sarah, Ms.

The family will receive friends Sunday April 28, 2024 from 2pm until the funeral service begins at 3pm, all at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. The interment will follow the service at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS.

Ruth was born December 21, 1941 to her beloved parents the late Dee Boyce Carlisle and Katherine Elaine Carlisle of Sarah, Ms.

Ruth was an activity director and later a Dietary manager at the Tunica Convalescent Center until she retired . She was a faithful member of the Tabernacle of Praise and Worship for many years but more than that, she faithfully followed the Lord whom she loved passionately her whole life.

Ruth was the most amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great  grandmother. She loved with her whole heart. She was known for her sweet spirit, her servant’s heart, her genuine meek disposition and her strong faith. She exemplified the love of God and enriched the lives of all that knew her. She loved singing, laughing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was so much fun and full of life, grace and beauty. To say that she will be missed is an understatement but we know she is singing , dancing  and laughing in Heaven with her Lord and those who have been waiting for her.

Ruth is survived by her children Ronnie Wayne Bradley (Sandy) of Sarah, Ms, Grover Charles Bradley III of Sarah, Ms, Angela Michele Herring ( Ken) of Olive Branch, Ms., grandchildren Charles Michael Bradley, Jason Bradley ( Sandra), Kirkland Bradley, Elijah and Elly Herring.  Great grandchildren Brittney Bradley, and Paige Williams ( Chris), great great grandchildren Amari and Ezra Williams.

In addition  to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Greenwood, her son James Floyd Bradley, her sister Mary Jane Clutz, and her former husband Grover C. Bradley, Jr.
