Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home Batesville, MS with Rev. Charlie Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Pope, MS. Mary was born on April 18, 1915 in Pope, MS to Willie Earl and Osie Lee Walker Pitcock. She was a homemaker and a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church of Clarksville, TN. Survivors include her daughter, Mary E. Barnes, of Clarksville, TN; 2 sons, Roland Bevell of Las Vegas, NV, Baxter Bevell, Jr. of Scottsdale, AZ; 1 brother, Willie Cecil Pitcock of Pope, MS; 22 Grandchildren, 74 Great-Grandchildren & 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, Willie & Osie Lee Pitcock; 3 brothers: Garland Pitcock, Ralph Pitcock and Grady Pitcock and a sister, Ethel Pitcock Smith. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home.
