Click Here To View Video Memorial TributeJames Henry Melton, age 58, died Thursday evening 12/2/10 at the Methodist University Hopsital in Memphis, Tn.. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park with Reverends David Freeman and Mike Porter officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home. Mr. Melton was born February 11, 1952 in Grenada, MS to the late Carl Bilbo Melton and Velma Melton. He worked for Parker Hannifin Company for 26 years as a sample maker. Mr. Melton is survived by his wife, Laura Benson Melton of Sardis, MS; two sons, Andy Melton and wife Carla of Sarah, MS, James Melton and wife Lisa of Batesville, MS; three step-daughters, Sheree Benson of Sardis, MS, Kenisha Benson of Sardis, MS, Nekesia Watson of Sardis, MS; former wife, Linda Watson Melton of Batesville, MS; three sisters, Margie Melton Peters of Horseshoe Lake, AR, Billie Melton Babb of Frazier, TN, Rachel Melton Clark of Olive Branch, MS and twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
