Click Here To View Video Memorial TributeEllis Wayne Hobbs, 70, passed away at his home in Courtland, MS Saturday, November 27, 2010. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Courtland United Methodist Church in Courtland, MS with Reverend Allen McGraw officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the memorial service. Mr. Hobbs was born September 28, 1940 in Kenton, TN to the late Walter Lee Hobbs and Maggie Mae Johnson. Mr. Hobbs was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church and was a retired maintenance man for the South Panola School District after 15 years of service. Also, he was an United States Air Force Veteran. Mr. Hobbs is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lynn Norton Hobbs of Courtland, MS; three daughters, Diana Lynn Herdt and husband Chad of Loxahoma, MS, Lisa Marie Frankowski and husband Jeff of Washington State, Dawn Marie Hobbs; son, William Wayne Hobbs and wife Vanessa of Georgia; sister, Maidell Hobbs Naylor of Illinios; three grandchildren, Austin Hobbs, Katie Herdt, and Sadie Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Rufus Lee Hobbs, Walter Earl Hobbs and Billy Joe Hobbs. The family requests that memorials in Mr. Hobbs name to be made to the American Cancer Society.
