She was the widow of Thomas Barnes Sullivan. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home Batesville, MS with Rev. Tom Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Sardis, MS. Betty was born on December 4, 1941 in Sardis, MS to William Clayton and Cordell Appleton Edlin. She was a homemaker and she was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Daughter, Brenda Mason George, of Sardis, MS; Son,Tommy Mason, of Sardis, MS; Companion, Everett Kirby, of Sardis, MS; 4 Sisters, Cammie Simmerman of Sardis, MS, Kay Goforth of Sardis, MS, Ann Hall of Sardis, MS, Jane Hill of Senatobia, MS; 2 Brothers: Lonnie Edlin of Sardis, MS, Danny Edlin of Sardis, MS; 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Barnes Sullivan; a son, William Clayton Sullivan and a brother, Douglas Eugene Edlin. Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 26, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home.
