Click here to view Video TributeGay Nell Bright Benson, 73, widow of Kelly Benson, passed away Friday evening at her home. Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Forrest Memorial Park. Dr. Gary Berry will be officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home. Nell was born August 16, 1937 in Pope, MS to the late Will Ray and Agatha Tidwell Bright. Mrs. Benson owned and operated Benson Grocery on Highway 51 at Enid Dam, and was a member of Pope United Methodist Church. Nell is survived by her daughter, Deborah Benson Duncan of Charleston, MS; son, Kelly "Bubba" Benson, Jr. of Pope, MS; five grandchildren, Alissa Peters, Britni Peters Goad, Nicole Benson Cobb, Tyler Benson, Anna Benson; two great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Cobb and Mackenzie Goad. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carver, Bubba Dunn, Wayne Sanders, Jim Pitcock, Andy Estridge and Tyler Benson.
