Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home Batesville, MS with Bro. Doug Pepper officiating. Darlene was born on July 29, 1942 in Memphis, TN to George Franklin and Myrtle Lucille Donnelly Peng. She was a member of Foothills Baptist Church. Darlene worked at Fitzgerald’s Casino as a credit clerk for 11 years. She enjoyed folk & bluegrass music, Bible study and spending time with her husband as well as fishing and riding around in the country. Darlene worked with many types of crafts. She collected angels, frogs and apples. Survivors include: Husband: Benny Elvin Walters of Mountain View, AR Son: Jerry Aaron Walters (Linette) of Senatobia, MS Daughter: Amy Margaret Hebbler (Edward) of Cody WY Sister: Cheryl Anne Collins (Richard)of Concord, CA 7 Grandchildren: Jessica Walters, Mackenzie Walters, Courtney Hebbler, Edward Hebbler, III, Landon Hebbler, Addison Hebbler Zayne Hebbler Nephew: Daniel Collins Visitation will be Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Wells Funeral Home.
