The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at The First United Pentecostal Church, Batesville, MS with Reverend Raymond Aven officiating and Reverend Steve Cannon and Reverend Kenneth Dyson assisting. Visitation will be held on Saturday from Noon until service time at the church. Burial will take place in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Batesville, MS. Mrs. Buchanan was born June 3, 1921 in Chickasaw County, MS to the late Oscar Cooper & Sarah Ellen Turman Neal. She was a homemaker and member of New Life Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude T. Buchanan; sisters, Susie Mae Gilliland and Grace Blue; brothers, Leon C. Neal, Robert Neal, Oscar Cooper Neal, Jr., William Neal and Herod Neal. Mrs. Buchanan is survived by her daughter, Linda Buchanan Pinkston and husband Harvey of Batesville, MS; son, Claude T. Buchanan, Jr. and wife Shirley of Senatobia, MS; 5 grandchildren, Chuck Comstock, Lisa Pinkston Bridges, Rachel Smith, Angela Aldridge, Dewayne Scoggins; and 7 great grandchildren.
