Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 31, 2010 at First United Methodist Church – Batesville, MS with Rev. Pat Ludlam & Rev. Ed Woodall officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park, Batesville, MS. Jerlene was born on January 9, 1938 in Union, MS to Charles Allen & Nellie Lavada Smith Rainer. Mrs. Stone was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Batesville, MS. She worked in accounting for Deposit Guaranty National Bank in Jackson, MS for 20 years. Survivors include her husband, Thurman A. Stone, Jr. of Batesville, MS; 2 Daughters: Dr. Renee Wilson of Tupelo, MS and Martha Flint (Ben) Of Batesville, MS; 2 Sons, Stanley Gilmore of Richland, MS and Robert T. Stone (Linda) of Sardis, MS; 3 Grandchildren: Melanie Carpenter (Ricky) of Florence, MS, Hannah Wilson of Tupelo, MS and Rachel Wilson of Tupelo, MS; 2 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Step-Grandchildren, 9 Step-Great-Grandchildren and Step-Mother, Georgia Smith Ranier of Union, MS. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, Batesville, MS.
