Constance "Connie" Blanche Earl, age 77 of Batesville, MS died Tuesday morning 10/5/10 at her home on Hwy. 35 South.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, October 8, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Douglas Sullivant-Gonzalez officiating with interment to follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
Connie was born September 15, 1933 in Freeport, TX to the late Richard Hunt and Lula Mae Dunn Earl. She graduated from Port Sulphur High School in Port Sulphur, LA in 1951 and then went to the University of Mississipp where she graduated in 1956. She retired from teaching and then was in the real estate business, where she was very successful. She was a member of Independence Presbyterian Church. Connie had fish, emu, horses, cattle and birds and was known as the "Bird Lady". She also a lover of dogs and has many champion dogs.
Connie is survived by her sister, Geraldine Lou Brian and husband Thibaut of Allentown, PA; friend of 50 years, Emily R. Grace of Batesville, MS; and 3 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hall, Clyde Armstead, Ben Benson, David Godard, David Durham and Richard Brian.
