Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Middleton officiating. Interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-8:00 pm Friday, August 27, 2010. Mr. Groner was born February 1, 1934 in Oxford, MS to the late Selma Magnus & Blanche Johnson Groner. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and retired from the State of Mississippi Law Enforcement with the State Tax Commission. Mr. Groner is survived by his wife Hattie M. Groner of Courtland, MS; daughter, Wendy Groner Gregg of Courtland, MS; son, Kenny P. Groner of Courtland, MS; sister, Mildred McKinney of Tupelo, MS; brother, Selma Groner of Taylor, MS; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Andrew Groner, Bo Groner, Lonnie Groner, Randy Johnson, James Faulkner & Bubba Alewine. Honorary Pallbearer will be Sonny Foster.
