Willie Stone Allen, affectionately known as Billie, passed away August 6, 2010 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was born November 13, 1925 in Jackson, MS to Robert L. and Willie Taylor Stone. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Earline Nunnery Aldridge, and an infant grandson, Taylor Holcombe Young. Billie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Allen, Sr. and a brother, Robert L. Stone, Jr. of Jackson, MS. Her surviving children are, Linda Allen Young of Jackson, MS, Robert Allen, Jr. of Senatobia, MS, Nancy Allen Moore and Richard Allen both of Sardis, MS. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Beth Young Hosey of Madison, MS, John Young of Maumelle, AR, Jason Allen of Hernando, MS, Lee Allen of Hernando, MS, Tom Allen of Senatobia, MS, and Andrew Allen of Sardis, MS. She is also survived by six great grandchildren and four special nieces. Billie was a homemaker and loved her family. She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and Davis Chapel Methodist Church. She was a member of the DAR and the Sardis Woman's Club. For a brief time, she was the Activities Director of the Sardis Nursing Home. Billie enjoyed bream fishing at her family farm in the Davis Chapel community, which has been in the family for four generations. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Monday, August 9, 2010 at Sardis United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be her sons and her grandchildren.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 A.M. Monday until services. The Reverend Dayna Goff will be officiating. Burial will be in Davis Chapel Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the cemetery fund of Davis Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o George Land, 2919 McKinney Road, Sardis, MS 38666. The family would like to thank the staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS and Dr. Jimmy Jones and the staff of St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.
