Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Willow Springs Assembly of God Church on Pope-Crowder Road with interment to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sardis, MS. Reverend Tommy Darby will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Monday at Wells Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at Willow Springs Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Herring was born January 16, 1944 in Crenshaw, MS to William Harold and Martha Mae Bradley Davis. She attended Willow Springs Assembly of God Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Herring is survived by her husband, William Cortez Herring of Pope, MS; daughter, Stacie A. Kendrick of Picayune, MS; son, William Y. Johnson of Batesville, MS; two step-daughters, Teresa Ann Herring of Palatine, IL, Tammy Regina Herring of Hoffman Estates, IL; mother, Martha Mae Davis of Batesville, MS; two sisters, Beverly Lynn Luke of Eagle Lake, FL, Becky Bryant of Batesville, MS; five brothers, Eddie H. Davis of Tuscaloosa, AL, Tony M. Davis of Tuscaloosa, AL, Reverend James L. Davis of Booneville, MS, Darnell Davis of Winterhaven, FL, Wayne Davis of Tuscaloosa, AL, and five grandchildren.
