Click Here To View Video Memorial TributeIda Cornelia "Nelia" Smith, 88, widow of the late Edward Vassar Smith, passed away Friday afternoon at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday afternoon, July 20, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS. Dr. Gary Berry will be officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith was a member of Pope Baptist Church and a retired factory worker.  She was born on October 23, 1921 to Benjamin Edwards & Mary Etta Berry James in Panola County, MS. She is survived by two sons, Ricky Smith of Pope, MS, Randy Smith of Southaven, MS; sister, Shirley Mull of Detroit, MI; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. The family of Mrs. Smith would like to give a special thank you to Towanda "Sissy" Anderson.
