Carrie Jane Corbin, 74, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 at her son’s home in Madison, MS. Carrie Jane was born in Kennett, MO on November 11, 1935 and was a long-time resident of Lambert, MS.
She loved her family, gardening, flowers, her cats and dogs, bird watching and sewing. Jane was a member of First Baptist Church of Lambert, MS.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Bledsoe; mother Flossie Bledsoe and brothers Harold, Victor and Hugh Bledsoe.
She is survived by her daughters Charlene (Tommy) Mitchell of Lambert, MS and Patricia Everett of Lambert, MS; sons Harold Corbin of Madison, MS and Billy (Amy) Corbin of Greenville, MS; and grandsons Robert and Nathan Corbin of Greenville, MS. She is also survived by her brothers William Bledsoe of Quincy, Illinois and Charlie (Burnell) Bledsoe of Paragould, Arkansas and her extended family Bill Corbin, Patsy Fowler and Susan Tinsler.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 10:00am - 11:30 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home with an 11:30 a.m. funeral service to follow in Wells Funeral Home Chapel, Batesville, MS with Reverend William Womble officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2p.m. at Lambert Cemetery, in Lambert, MS.
