Click Here To View Video Memorial TributeCathryn Virginia Bryan Harrison age 82, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at her home in Batesville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2010, at The First United Methodist Church in Batesville, MS with Rev. Pat Ludlam, Rev. Martin Case and Rev. John Howell officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Batesville, MS Virginia was born on April 27, 1928 in Calhoun County, MS to Rufus Cea and Sudie Virginia Pittman Bryan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Batesville, MS. Mrs. Harrison was the co-owner and founder of Harrison’s Furniture in Batesville. She was a graduate of Marks High School and went on to receive her degree from the Chicago School of Interior Decoration. Along with traveling and entertaining she took pleasure in cooking and she loved flowers. Mrs. Harrison enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a Charter Member of the Batesville Jr. Auxiliary, and in 1981 she was chosen as Charity Ball Queen. Virginia was also a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include: Husband: Price Bryan Harrison of Batesville, MS Daughter: Kay Harrison Nickle (Steve) of Batesville, MS 2 Sons: Stanley Bryan Harrison of Batesville, MS, Scott Price Harrison (Mona Mitchell) of Batesville, MS; 6 Grandchildren: Virginia Austin Harrison, Price Pittman Harrison, Monroe Mitchell Harrison, William Harrison Nickle, Bryan Steven Nickle. She was preceded in death by Her Parents: Rufus Cea & Sudie Virginia Pittman Bryan; 2 Brothers: Rufus Cea Bryan, Jr. & James Quitman Bryan and a Grandson: Joseph Spears Nickle. Visitation will be 4:30 P.M. until service time on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at First United Methodist Church – Batesville, MS. The family asks that anyone who wishes to send memorials in Mrs. Harrison’s memory, do so to one of the following:  First United Methodist Church, Batesville Junior Auxiliary, or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
