Rayford Ables officiating. Interment to follow at Hebron Cemetery in Sardis, MS. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday, June 28, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home. Mrs. Howard was born May 6, 1958 in Batesville, MS to the late Josephine Still & Elvin Thomas Alred, Sr. She was a factory worker at Panola Mills and attended Hosanna Family Worship Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Anderson and a brother, Bobby Alred. Mrs. Howard is survived by her husband, Larry Howard of Sardis, MS; sons, Gary Howard of Sardis, MS & Danny Howard of Sardis, MS; daughter, Wendy Underwood of Batesville, MS: sisters, Janie Caine of Batesville, MS; Sue Morris of Batesville, MS & Teresa Lott of Batesville, MS; 4 brothers Elvin Thomas Alred, Jr. of Batesville, MS; Billy Alred of Sardis, MS; Harold Alred of Batesville, MS; & Johnny Alred of Batesville, MS and 5 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Alred, Andy Anderson, John McCollum, Joey Jones, Bubba Anderson, Sam Lott & Mark Alred. Christopher McCollum will serve as honorary pallbearer.
