Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Legge officiating. Interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday, June 7, 2010. Mrs. Ward was born January 26, 1949 in Batesville, MS to the late Lemuel Maxwell "L.M." & Frances Houston Johns. She attended Locke Station Baptist Church and was a factory worker at Emhart. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Reed Holiday. Mrs. Ward is survived by her son, Benjamin "Benji" Baxter of Sardis, MS; stepson, Greg Ward of Como, MS; stepdaughter, Carla Collums of Senatobia, MS; sisters, Sissy Johns Wilson of Batesville, MS; & Mary Ida Johns Lequex of Batesville, MS; brothers, David "Bubba" Johns of Blaine, MS; & Johhny Ray Johns of Lambert, MS; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Steven Jenkins, Travis Cook, Jonathan Johns, Ronald Biggers, Jamie Tedford and David Gibson.
