Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, June 4, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home Batesville, MS with Mr. Justin McCreary officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Batesville, MS. J.C. was born on January 30, 1924 in Water Valley, MS to Joseph Melton and Myrtis Castleberry Castleberry Dickey. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS. Mr. Dickey served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include-3 Daughters: Diane Dickey Coleman- Batesville, MS, Pam Dickey Griffis- Davie, FL, Angie Dickey Milita, Naples, FL; Son: John Vernon Almon- Little Rock, AR; 8 Grandchildren & 13 Great-Grandchildren Visitation will be 9-10 am Friday, June 4, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home.
