Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Baker officiating. Interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 PM Thursday prior to the service. Mr. Darby was born June 24, 1920 in Panola County, MS to the late Edgar and Addie Darby. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was in the United States Air Force while serving in WWII and then on Second Enlistment was in the United States Army. He was a Entrepreneur, Salesman and Writer. He is survived by 3 daughters, Judy Darby Galloway of Memphis, TN; Janet Darby Stewart of Jonesboro, AR; Rita Darby McArthur of Sardis, MS; 2 son, Dennis K. Darby of Batesville, MS; and Eddie K. Darby of Monee, IL; 11 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Byron Brown, Catlin McArthur, Perrin Robertson, Bubba Bryan, John Lantern, Dino Stutts, Brandon Darby and Matthew Sorensen.
