Video Memorial TributeDelores O. Cook age 71 wife of Walter Jimmy Cook of Courtland, Ms., died Monday evening 4/12/2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North Mississippi Oxford, Ms.. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Crofford officiating and Rev. Charles Locke assisting. Interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Mrs. Cook was born May 5, 1937 in Pope, MS to the late Fletcher Claude & Dolly Ophelia Ragon Alewine. She was a homemaker and member of Courtland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry, Ronnie and Billy Alewine. Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband Walter J. Cook of Courtland, MS; daughter, Melody Ann Cook Smith (Delmar) of Courtland, MS; son, Ricky E. Cook (Kaye) of Courtland, MS; sisters, Francis Alewine Garrison of Greenwood, MS; Carol Alewine Cook of Como, MS; Claudette Alewine Wages of Loxahoma, MS; Ann Alewine Hudspeth of Senatobia, MS; brothers, Danny Alewine of Courtland, MS; David Alewine of Itta Bena, MS; and Steve Alewine of Batesville, MS; grandchildren, Cassie Nicole Cook White (Sammy), Alisha Renee Smith, Robert Westely Smith (Brittany), Jeremy Scott Smith (Natalie), Andrew Paul Tutor, Alisha Nicole Smith and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Jeremy Smith, Andrew Tutor, George Smith, Mason Hardenborgh, & Sammy White.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Cook and Ricky Cook.
