Video Memorial TributeBarbara Arnold, age 67, wife of Wes Arnold, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford. A Memorial service will be 4:00 pm Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Ludlam officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Arnold was born July 11, 1942 in Grand Junction, CO to the late Carl and Catherine Collingwood Rogalla. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Malcolm Wesley Arnold of Batesville, MS; sons, Mark Lawson of Seagoville, TX and Gregory B. Lawson of Rowlett, TX and step sons, Matthew Arnold of League City, TX and Malcolm W. Arnold, III of Starkville, MS, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Arnold was a homemaker and an active participant in church and community affairs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Batesville, where she was a member of the Senior Choir ministry and participated in many other church related activities. She was life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Marine Corps League Auxiliary. When living in Texas, she was a two term president of the Department of Texas Marine Corps League Auxiliary. Mrs. Arnold was also a member of the Panola County Historical Society (PanGens) and the Panola County Humane Society. Memorials may be made to the General Fund of the First United Methodist Church of Batesville.
