Video Memorial TributeCharlie Rotenberry, age 65, of Batesville, MS passed away on Monday afternoon, April 5, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, North MS-Oxford, MS. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Crowder Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Wells Funeral Home. Mr. Rotenberry was born October 29, 1944 in Water Valley, MS to the late Charlie Doyle and Marguerite McCullar Rotenberry. He was a member of the Crowder Baptist Church in Crowder, MS. Charlie farmed land in Tallahatchie and Quitman Counties for 34 years. Mr. Rotenberry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lucy Respess Rotenberry and by five sisters, Faye Rotenberry Nolan of Water Valley, MS, Peggy Rotenberry Turner of Crowder, MS, Jo Rotenberry Durham of Batesville, MS, Kay Rotenberry Marberry of Crowder, MS, and Diane Rotenberry Bailey of Batesville, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Elaine Mixon and a brother, Mac Rotenberry.
