Video Memorial TributeShirley J. Davis, age 67, passed away April 1, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Desoto in Southaven, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Sardis Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Crofford officiating. Burial will be in Morris Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Sommerville, TN. Mrs. Davis was born in Fayette County, TN to the late John & Euphie Mae Houston Gammel. She was a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church and was a retired office manager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Byrd & P. O. Davis; grandson, Ricky Tacker, Jr. and brother, Bill Gammel. Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughers, Borgia Jean Byrd Crofford of Sardis, MS; and Joannie Renay Byrd Tacker of Sardis, MS; sister, Ava Hazel Gammel Watkins of Sommerville, TN; brother, Gene Gammel of Memphis, TN; 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, 4/3/10, at Sardis Lake Baptist Church.
