Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home Batesville, MS with Dr. P.J. Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Blackjack Cemetery, Batesville, MS. James was born on December 22, 1942 in Courtland, MS to James Jefferson and Lois Griffis Griffis Campbell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville where he loved attending Sunday School and church services. Mr. Campbell was retired from Hood Equipment as the Parts & Service Manager. He loved to work in his garden and cut grass or work in the yard when he was able. Survivors include: Wife: Betty Lou Winters Campbell- Batesville, MS 2 Sons: James J. "Jeff" Campbell (Angie)- Batesville, MS Howard Deewayne Campbell (Vickie)-Tiptonville, TN 3 Sisters: Jeffie Campbell- Batesville, MS Betty Campbell Moore- Batesville, MS Voncille Campbell Tarver- Oxford, MS 4 Grandchildren: Dalton Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Chandler Campbell & Grace Campbell Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday, November 27, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home.
