Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Middleton officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clarksdale, MS. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home. Dotsy was born March 7, 1927 in Tallahatchie County, MS to the late Joseph Oyett and Virginia Anthony Thompson. She was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS and was a professional painter and wall paper hanger. Mrs. Joyner was also a member of the V.F.W. of Water Valley, MS. Dotsy is survived by three sons, Ellis Louis Joyner of Crenshaw, MS, Ronny Lyn Joyner of Nesbit, MS, Jimmy Darron Joyner of Hernando, MS; eight sisters, Draper Mae Thompson Odom of Pope, MS, Hilda Thompson Russell of Pope, MS, Mildred Thompson Gordon of San Angelo, TX, Joan Thompson Sharp of Duck Hill, MS, Nina Thompson Hays of Carrolton, MS, Faye Thompson Clark of Pope, MS, Jetty Thompson Whitsell of Pope, MS, Mavis Thompson King of Yelm, WA; brother, Corley Thompson of Scobey, MS; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Oyett and Virginia Anthony Thompson; sister, Daisy Bell Joyner and a brother, Joseph Preston Thompson.
