Robert Jackson Browning

Robert Jackson Browning, age 80, husband of Jessie Sanders Browning, died Tuesday morning, 10/13/09 in Laplace, Louisiana. There will be a 2:00 p.m. graveside funeral service on Friday, October 16, 2009 at Forrest Memorial Park, Batesville, MS. Mrs. Cheryl Holmes Fontenot will preside. Robert was born in VanZandt County, Texas on November 10, 1928 to Horace L. & Elizabeth Reid Browning. Mr. Browning was a retired supervisor. He is survived by his wife: Jessie Sanders Browning of Laplace, LA; one son: Robert J. Browning, Jr. of Houma, LA, one sister: Elizabeth Ann Browning of Longview, TX and 2 grandchildren. There will be a visiation on Thursday night, October 15, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. The family asks that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
