The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Eureka United Methodist Church in Courtland, MS with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Chris Cooksey and Reverend Clay Baker will officiate the services. Mrs. Cosby was born in Panola County, MS on July 30, 1932 to Johnny Fulton Hobson and Willie Cecil Seay McMinn. She was a homemaker and a member of Eureka United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Cosby, Jr. of Courtland, MS, two daughters: Elizabeth Diane Cosby Carlini and Cheryl Darlene Cosby Jones both of Courtland, MS; three sons: Johnie W. "Billy" Cosby, Randy Wayne Cosby, Sr. and Gregory Wade Cosby, Sr. all of Courtland, MS; one sister: Johnnie Lou McMinn Ford of Courtland, MS; 13 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, October 14, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home.
