Ralph Berryhill, age 85, passed away Tuesday morning, March 28, 2017 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS.Funeral services for Mr. Berryhill will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. Interment will follow the service at Liberty Cemetery in Nettleton, MS. Ralph was born April 24, 1931 to the late Robert Grady Berryhill and Tempie Jane McCormick Berryhill in Nettleton, MS. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era where he was an air plane mechanic. He was a longtime Civitan member and a former Deacon at First Baptist Church in Batesville. Ralph was a Pharmacist for 33 years retiring in 1993. He enjoyed his retirement years tinkering with old cars, particularly the Studebaker. Those he leaves behind to cherish his precious memory include his wife, Joe Nell Carlisle Berryhill of Batesville, his children; Brenda Johnson of Hattiesburg and Bobby Berryhill of Jackson, Sister-in-Law, Linda Berryhill of Plantersville, brothers; James Gwin Berryhill of Plantersville, Robert Berryhill of Muskogee, OK., and Don Berryhill of Tallahassee, FL., 5 Granddaughters; Bonnie Tyrone (Blaine) of Hattiesburg, Jennifer and Leslie Berryhill of Jackson, Ellen Messer (Winston) of Atlanta, GA., and Angela Stephenson (Logan) of Mobile, AL., 2 Great Granddaughters; Reese Tyrone, and Stella Tyrone of Hattiesburg. In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by 2 brothers; David Berryhill and Roy Berryhill, Son-in-Law, Doug Johnson formerly of Hattiesburg and his Daughter-in-Law, Lisa Thompson Berryhill formerly of Jackson.
