Video Memorial TributeMary M. Watts, age 84, passed away Saturday morning, March 4, 2017 at her son's home in Pope, MS.Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 5, 2017 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery of Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time. The Reverend Derrick Simmons will be officiating the service.Mary was born June 6, 1932 in Oxford, MS to the late William O. Moore and Jennie M. Murphree. At early age, Mary's father, William, passed away and Jennie went on to marry Walter P. Murphree. Walter raised Mary from that point until his death. She was mostly a homemaker but worked at various businesses around Batesville. Mary was a faithful member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.Mary's loving memory will be cherished by her son, James A. "Tony" Watts (Tina) of Pope, MS; sister, Vivian (Sis) Bridges of Batesville, MS; brother, James D. Murphree (Shelda) of Denver; four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.Besides her parents, Marys was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Watts; sister, Charlie M. Barton; four brothers, Reeder Murphree, Lovie Murphree, Walter Murphree and William O.
