Video Memorial Tribute Connie Marquis Fonseca, age 68, passed away Friday morning, March 3, 2017, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV.Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 P.M. Friday, March 17, 2017 here at Wells Funeral Home.Connie was born November 8, 1948 in Mississippi to the late Homer Lee Marquis and Mavis Rodgers Marquis. She was homemaker that got great pleasure out of helping individuals remodeling their homes as well as planning weddings and catering events. Connie was the leader of her family and always took control of the situation at hand. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Connie is survived by her two daughters, Lynette Hall of Southaven, MS, Deanna Peterson (Paul) of Horn Lake, MS; two sons, Russell Cave (Becky) of Hernando, MS, Mike Hall of Southaven, MS; mother, Mavis Rodgers Marquis of Walls, MS; sister, Anita Marquis of Enid, MS; brother, Homer Lee Marquis, Jr. (Janet) of Shreveport, LA; nine grandchildren, Meredith, Amy, Marisa, Miranda, Becca, Stephanie, Brian, Brandi and Tiffani; three great-grandchildren, Philip, Archer and Walker.Other than her father, Homer Lee Marquis, Connie was preceded in death by her late husband, Rudy Fonseca and her sister, Jeannie Hughes.
