Britt Taylor

Britt Taylor, age 58, passed away at Methodist Hospice Facility in Memphis, TN. February 28, 2017.  Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday,  March 4, 2017 at Como United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.  Interment will follow the service at Friendship Cemetery in Como. Reverend David Thomas will officiate. Britt was born January 10, 1959 to the late Fred "Straw" Taylor, Jr., and Frances Brittain Taylor in Memphis, TN.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Como United Methodist Church. Britt was employed with Federal Express as Freight Line Haul Driver. During his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, boating, sports and spending time with his family. Those he leaves behind include his wife, Darlene Taylor of Oakland, TN., his children; Chad Taylor (Melissa) of Tampa, FL., and Scott Taylor of Oakland, TN., 3 sisters; Kandy Taylor of Grover Beach, CA., Meri Richardson of Highview, W.V., and Nancy Breen of Como, MS., 2 brothers; Ward Taylor of Senatobia, MS and Jim Taylor of Petaluma, CA., 3 Grandchildren; Savanah Taylor, Lincoln Taylor and Violet Taylor. Memorials in Britt's honor can be made to St. Jude Medical Center, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.Wells Funeral Home of Batesville MS has charge.
