Larry Ray Campbell

Larry Ray Campbell, age 71, passed away at Merit Health in Batesville, MS, February 19, 2017. Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pope MS with visitation beginning at 10:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Reverend Derrick Simmons will officiate the service. Larry was born March 6, 1945 to the late Lister William Campbell and Lea Whitten Campbell in Pope, MS. Larry was a heavy equipment operator during his lifetime and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. In his leisure time he enjoyed watching wrestling, all sports especially football, and talking to family and friends on the phone. Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Campbell Cooper of Manassas, VA., his sister Martha Lou Campbell Barrett, and 3 grandchildren, Josh, Kaitlyn, and Noah Cooper. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his son, Larry "Bubba" Campbell and 7 brothers; William, James, Vernon, Marion "Snip", Robert, Tommy Joe, and Charles Campbell.
