James Lynn Elliott, Sr. age 69, passed away Sunday evening, February 19, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.Funeral services for Mr. Elliott will be held on at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at Hosanna Family Worship Center in Pope, MS with visitation beginning at 11:00 prior to the service. Rev. Damon Plummer, Rev. Bruce Wilkes, and Rev. Rayford Ables will officiate. Committal services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at St. Jerome Cemetery in Fancy Farms KY. Wells Funeral Home has charge of services. Lynn was born January 5, 1948 to the late Thomas Edwin Elliott and Mary Ruth Cash Elliott. in Fancy Farms, KY. Lynn was a business owner and entrepreneur during his lifetime. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was a member of Hosanna Family Worship Center. Lynn took great pleasure in racing cars, he cherished his church and church family and loved his Country. Survivors include his wife, Betty Ruth Ragon Elliott of Oakland, his sons; Jimmy Elliott of Batesville, Ben Elliott of Courtland, Michael Elliott of San Leon, TX., step daughters; Debbie Lantrip of Pope and Tina Bannister of Batesville, sisters; Janice Kay Elliott of Olive Branch, Karen Ann Elliott Edwards also of Olive Branch, and Tammy Jo Elliott Lewis of Memphis, TN., 14 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Lynn is preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Gary Elliott.
