MaryBelle Rich Carter

MaryBelle Rich Carter, age 86, passed away, February 13, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS. Funeral services for Mrs. Carter will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017  at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Marks with visitation beginning at 1:30 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Marks Cemetery. Dr. Laurie Jones and Rev. Will Overstreet will officiate. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville has charge of arrangements. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker during her life time and a member of Marks First Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed playing golf at the Wilson Lake Country Club. She volunteered her time as a Girl Scout Leader in Marks. She was a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution and the Marks Garden Club. Mary was an avid Mahjong player. Survivors include her husband, Robert Bruce "Bob" Carter, her children, Becky Carter Jones (Mike) of Sardis, and Bruce Carter (Nancy) of Franklin, TN. She also leaves 3 grandchildren; Rob Carter (Tomoko) of Seattle, WA., Mary Beth Carter of Nashville, TN., Ryan Jones (Stephanie) of Oxford, and 4 Great Grandchildren.
