Mildred G. Locke

VIDEO MEMORIAL TRIBUTE Mildred G. Locke, age 93, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Sardis Nursing Home in Sardis, MS. She is the widow of the late James W. "Son" Locke.Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow at Ecru Cemetery in Ecru, MS. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Mildred was born July 18, 1923 in Pontotoc County, MS to the late Chester Crockett and Icie Hartgraves Goggins. She was homemaker and faithful member of Locke Station Baptist Church.Mildred is survived by her two children, Linda Locke Ellison of Bartlett, TN and Rev. Charles W. Locke of Batesville, MS. Also surviving Mrs. Locke is her six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and her two great-great-grandchildren.Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Lamar Locke and her granddaughter, Kara Lynn Locke.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Locke Station Baptist Church, 19 Bill Locke Rd., Marks, MS 38646.
