Video Memorial Tribute Thoughtfully Produced By: Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services Laura Leigh Holland age 49, died Monday, August 3, 2009 at Hermann Memorial Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas. The family invites you to share in the celebration of Laura’s life with a visitation on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. The memorial service will be on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Rev. Jessica LaGrone will officiate. Inurnment will follow at the Columbarium in The Grace Garden of TWUMC. Laura was born on July 14, 1960 in Houston, TX to Eddie Joe and Louise Wilson Holland. She was a graduate of Southwest Texas State in San Marcos, TX where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Laura was the owner and operator of The Kid’s Castle in The Woodlands for over 15 years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time in her yard. She was a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Laura was a great friend to many and had an infectious smile which filled the room with love and laughter. She was dedicated to service with her involvement with the National Charity League and The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. Laura put others first and had an enormous capacity for giving. Her final gift of organ donation will continue her legacy for many years to come. She was truly loved and will be forever missed! Survivors include: Daughter: Leigh Allyson Blanchard- The Woodlands, TX Mother: Louise Wilson Staples- The Woodlands, TX Sister: Donna Holland Byrd and husband Ron- The Woodlands, TX Brother: Scott Holland and wife Mary- Leawood, KS Step-Mother:Becky Holland and husband David Harrison- The Woodlands, TX. Step-Sister: Kristin Broussard and husband Keeth- Keller, Tx. 2 Step-Brothers: Greg Larson and wife Marilyn-Waxahachie, Tx., Jeff Larson- Atlanta, Ga. Nieces: Brittney and Michelle Byrd, Emma Holland, Hanna Larson and Olivia Larson Nephews: Bryan Byrd, Joe, Mitch & Sam Holland, Jake, Matthew and Nicholas Broussard and Jack Larson.  3 special girls: Jessica, Malori and Drea who were much loved by Laura. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Joe Holland.
