Lynnwood Crowell

Lynnwood Crowell, age 75, formerly of Batesville, passed away in Lebanon, TN on November 12, 2016. The family will hold a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Gladeville United Methodist Church in Gladeville, TN. Lynnwood was born in Batesville, MS on December 25, 1940 to the late Floyd and Edna Crowell.   He graduated from Batesville High School in 1959 followed by earning a degree in accounting from Mississippi State University. Lynnwood married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, the late Jean Legge Crowell. He served in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Amarillo, TX. During his lifetime he was employed with Grace Chemical Co. in Memphis, TN where he was an accountant and eventually retired from the Company. Lynwood retired in Lebanon, TN where he was an active member of Gladeville United  Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening in his spare time and was know in his neighborhood as the community handyman. Survivors include 2 sons; Glen Crowell of Nashville, TN. and Gerald Crowell (Mandy) of Murfreesboro, TN, sister; Marilyn C. Taylor and brother, Larry Crowell both of Batesville, MS. In addition to his parents and wife, Lynnwood is preceded in death by one brother, Floyd B. Crowell Jr. and one grandchild, Savannah Crowell.
