Mary Evelyn Fennel

Mary Evelyn Fennel, age 72, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 2, 2016 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS.Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday morning, November 4, 2016 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells funeral Home with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS.  The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening, November 3, 2016 at Wells funeral home form 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. and also one hour prior to the service Friday morning.Mary was born June 30, 1944 in Kosciusko, MS to the late Willie and Evelyn Delaince Odom Chunn. She was a Pentecostal by faith and retired from the Fred's store in Batesville, MS.  Throughout her years ibn Batesville, MS, Mary could almost always be found at the ballpark watching her sons, and grandchildren playing baseball. She loved working in her yard and gardening.Her loving memory will be remembered most by her two sons, Bubba Fennel of Pope, MS, Lance Michael Fennel of Batesville, MS; two sisters, Bobbie Jo Deason of Kosciusko, MS, Shirley Frazier of Kosciusko, MS; four brothers, Ray Chunn, Ralph Chunn, L.T. Chunn and Mike Chunn, all of Kosciusko, MS; four grandchildren, Jacob Fennel, Kayla Fennel, Lane Fennel, and Emma Fennel. She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews.Besdie her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Don Larry Fennel and her brother, Melvin Chunn.The family request, anyone wishing to send a memorial contribution, to forward those to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
