Terry L. Shields, Jr.

Terry Lynn "T.J." Shields, Jr., age 28, passed away Saturday evening, October 29, 2016 at the North MS. Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel with interment to follow in Eureka Cemetery near Courtland, MS. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.T.J. was born May 18, 1988 in Batesville, MS to Terry Lynn Shields and the late Wanda Mae McMinn Shields. At an early age, he suffered epileptic seizures that left him disabled. While being cared for at the North MS Regional Center in Oxford, MS, he always loved being outside. T.J. was a sweet young man and beloved by anyone that came in contact with him. T.J.'s two favorite things to play with were socks and telephone receiver cords.T.J. is survived by his father and step-mother, Terry Lynn and Wanda Jaco Shields; surrogate mother and aunt, Brenda McMinn Campbell (Mike) of Pope, MS; two sisters, Lynnsey G. Fowler of Batesville, MS, Amber T. Shields of Courtland, MS; two aunts, Sherry Ann McMinn Bolton of Pope, MS and Barbara McMinn Correia of Enid, MS; two nieces, Gabrielle F. Jaco, Bailey C. Doubleday; nephew, Ryan C. Doubleday. Besides his mother, T.J. was preceded in death by his brother, Corey Lynn Shields.
