Sadie Charnes Perkins

Sadie Charnes Perkins, age 91, widow of the late Vernon Hafner Perkins, passed away today, October 29, 2016 at the Desoto Health Care Facility in Southaven, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Como Baptist Church in Como, MS with interment to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Independence, MS. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Ms. Perkins was born February 5, 1925 in Waverly, TN to the late Charles Marvin and Madie Ferguson Charnes. For the most part of her life, Sadie was a homemaker but had also worked as a clerk for K-Mart. She enjoyed ceramics, cooking and collecting recipes. Sadie was a very meticulous person who always very well kept. She was an avid member of Como Baptist Church as well.Her memory will be most cherished by her family , which includes her daughter, Patricia L. Hart of Marion, AR; three sons, Wayne Perkins, Sr. of Hernando, MS, Randy Perkins of Como, MS, Danny Perkins of Lewisville, TX; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
