Aaron Thomas Stapp

Aaron Thomas Stapp, age 85, of Batesville, MS, passed away Friday morning, October 21, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Wednesday prior to the graveside service.Aaron was born March 20, 1931 in Marks, MS to the late James Thomas and Elva Mae Worsham Stapp. Mr. Stapp honorably served his country in U. S. Air Force in the Korean War. He worked for the former South Central Bell as a lineman and worked his way up to be a toll test technician before retiring from BellSouth.Mr. Stapp was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Nell Segars Stapp, and is survived by his daughter, Amy Stapp of Cordova, TN; son, Troy Stapp of Walls, MS; sister, Earline Montgomery of Sardis, MS; granddaughter, Alisa Faith Honaker; two god-children, Paige Halford Collotta of Starkville, MS and Kyle Halford of Cleveland, MS.
